Day of the Undying Businesses is a culturally rooted marketing campaign developed for WhatsApp Business.
Launched in Mexico during the iconic Día de los Muertos celebrations. The campaign tackles a striking reality: nearly 75% of small family-owned businesses in Mexico do not survive their first two years of operation.

Drawing on the rich symbolism of the Day of the Dead — a tradition that honors those who came before us — the campaign reframes the conversation around business mortality. Rather than mourning closures, it gave historic and traditional businesses a second chance at life, positioning WhatsApp Business as the digital lifeline capable of reviving and sustaining what generations built.
